I have a document which pulls merge codes from our CRM.
In creating merge codes I have to do up a table in word. Is there a way to replace the field name? I tried using the ctrl and H only changes the text not the actual content changes. So in the attached example I have 50 rows. The next table I want to create say has FLEETNAME in the first column instead to MTTDNAME So i need to have <<fleetname-1>> through to -50. I have tried to create in excel and copy and paste the merge codes without success. Any help would be very much appreciated. |

You can use Ctrl+H by first toggling display of field codes.
Alt+F9 (Fn+Alt+F9 on many computers) Dealing with Fields in Microsoft Word (Taggle them back after you have done the replace.) Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 10-11-2023 at 01:07 PM. |

Many thanks, so using alt & F9 using Ctrl & H and using the replace worked. You then have to repeat this after toggling them back. You have saved me a lot of time. Derek |
