Default Making mail merge blank fill a line to highlight that line

Hi,

I have used Outlook to prepare a phone book for my HOA for years using Outlook's booklet option. It was a convoluted process to get field names and data formated that included PDF save to word, a macro, and some other following around. I am replacing that multistep process with a mail merge and it's working fine... except! I would like to maintain the look and feel from Outlook and the first line of each contact is shaded. I can get the mail merge to shade the first line but only to the point where characters stop. I would like to blank fill the rest of the line. How? The field names are in a one-column/row cell to prevent page splitting.
