Hi all,
Thanks for reading and any help you can provide. I have a working mail merge that lifts info from an excel sheet into a legal document / contract. In certain circumstances, a clause may not have any text next to it. In the event of an empty clause I would like to automatically remove the clause number and the blank line below. Thanks again for any assistance you can provide. Oli As an example. 1.1 The person concerned is x. 1.2 The person earns Y. 1.3 1.4 How much does it cost? |

If your 1.3 paragraph is otherwise empty and the 1.3 is generated by auto-numbering, the mailmerge should suppress it.
As for the empty line between paragraphs, you really shouldn't have that; inter-paragraph spacing should be managed via the paragraph space before/after settings.
