Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and have a question regarding how to "repeat" a Next Record on the same page. In a nutshell, I'm creating badge IDs for an upcoming conference using Avery 8522 labels, which have two columns per page containing a main badge and two secondary badges. I want to use one of the secondary badges as a raffle ticket with the attendee's name/company on it, so it needs to match the name/company of the main badge directly above it. Unfortunately, I'm having a problem using <<Next Record>> more than once on the same page. Before diving into too many words, I've attached a diagram of my problem below, which should help effectively communicate my problem. Your assistance is greatly appreciated! ~David ![]() |

I can find no record of an Avery 8522 label on the Avery website, so it's a bit hard to know how many labels to a page there are, If it's a multiple of three, you could do a set-up for a standard label merge (which includes propagating all the labels via the 'Update labels' button), then delete the «Next Record» field from every 2nd & 3rd label, working in an across-then-down order. Otherwise, you could do the setup for the labels in the normal manner, then either:
• execute the merge 3 time; or • save two versions of the mailmerge main document: one with all the «Next Record» fields in place (e.g. for the tickets); the other with all the «Next Record» fields in the second column deleted (e.g. for the main badge and one secondary badge), an execute two merges, one from each mailmerge main document.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your reply. Avery 8522 (https://www.avery.com/products/namebadges/8522) has two labels per page, along with the two secondary labels each below them. Based on the fact it has two labels, how would you proceed? |

Hmm, not listed on the Avery Aus site. The link you posted says the 8522 format has "2 Name Tag Inserts and 4 Tickets per Sheet". What it doesn't show, though, is the layout, which is what I'd need before advising further. Can you attach a document to a post with the labels in the 8522 format?

Paul, this template page on Avery.com shows an outline of the layout - does this help? https://www.avery.com/templates/8522
My design layout has the large two badges at the top and the smaller two badges underneath them. The bottom portion of the template (the bottom two rectangles) are scrap. |

I do need an actual document, so I can test how that setup works with mailmerge in Word.
