Hi guys
This is a REALLY weird one and I'm a bit stumped as to the best way to proceed, so am looking for some guidance please. A client has asked me to produce labels that look like this: red line.jpg This is a new branding they want to use - I need to produce a red line that covers the length of the last line of the address (with a bit of extra to left and right). The red line has to be half-way up the font, not an underline. So far I've got the address in a table, vertically justified to the bottom. I've then put a text box behind that which has a red background. So far so good. My problem with doing it this way is that I need to find a way to adjust the width of the red bar so it matches the width of the last line of the address. It's do-able as a post-merge operation with some vba looping through and adjusting the sizes, but I'd like to find a simpler way if possible. I don't think I can get the length of a field via any sort of field code, but I guess if I could find a font where all the characters are just blocks I could merge the last line of the address with this font and just colour it red. Anyone know of such a font? or maybe a way to tweak the underline to do this instead? or have any other ideas? Thanks! |
