Start Mail Merge Greyed Out

Hello,

I'm using Word 2016 and Outlook 2016 via Office 365, desktop versions.

In my word document when I click Mailings only Envelopes and Labes are clickable everything else is greyed out.

I am trying to Start a mail merge to email.



I have my software on two pc's one is a Windows pc and the other a Mac, I have the same issue on both. Both pc's have the Outlook 2016 set as the default mail client.

Could anyone provide any insight into what I could try to fix this?

Unless there's something odd about the document you're using, the 'Start Mail Merge' and 'Select Recipients' buttons should both be active when opening the Mailings tab. See below. Have you tried starting the mailmerge with a new, blank document?
