Mail merging from Excel to Word, the number format from Excel should be to 2 decimal places but in the mail-merge document the format adds numerous zeros to the number.
How do I format the merge to give me only 2 decimal places? |

Hi Macropod,
The actual figure in the Word Document after the merge is 26.800000000000001 (13 zeros) I have tried the tips you suggested but I must not be understanding what I am trying to do, as the result does not change. The only thing I didn't try is to make the change and save/close the document and try again, would that help?? Andy ![]() |

Did you re-run the merge after updating the field in the mailmerge main document?

Hi Again,
Just to let you know that after fixing the problem with not being able to open the mail merge file, I can tell you that your fix did work. I now have a working mail merge file giving me the details I wanted. Cheers, Andy |
