Mail merge--skipping records
Hi. I am using an Excel SS as the source for records to be used in a MSWord mail merge. The master letter is set up 2 to a page (2 up), each 5.5" x 8.5" (half page size). The merge works fine except that every third record is not picked up. Thus, records #1 and #2 are picked up but #3 is skipped. Records #4 and #5 are picked up and #6 is skipped. And so on. I don't understand why or how this can be overcome.
Any suggestions???? Thanks. Bookends623 |

It's not clear from your post what kind of merge you're doing, as either a Letter merge or a Label merge be used for this, but the info you've provided suggests you have a «NextRecord» field after the second 'letter'. Delete that and everything should be fine.

Mail merge--skipping records
Thank you. Yes I am using a letter merge. And yes there is a 'nextrecord' after the second letter. I removed it and that resolved the problem. Many, many thanks. I never would have thought of that as the source of the problem.
