I just merged two different letters and two different data sources to two separate files. Each letter contains a the same numbered list
The letters read as follows (no merge fields in any of the text in the three numbered lines neither are the numbers.) text 1. text 2. text 3. text text When I reviewed the resulting letters in each file prior to saving it, they read: Letter number 1: text 1 text 2. text 3. text text To the last one-- Document number 106: text 1. text 2. text 3. text text When I saved the files and reopen them, both read: Letter number 1: text 1. text 2. text 3. text text To the last one-- Document number 106: text 316. text 317. text 318. text text Each list in all 106 in both has been incremented. The act of saving the files seems to have caused the problem. Have no idea why. I have been able to duplicate the results several times, so I don't think I'm dreaming. Anyone have a clue? Thanks, Hook |
