If you mean a javascript forum, I doubt it. In all the time this board has been running, only 24 threads (not including this one) have mentioned javascript. We've closed other forums with more threads than that.

No, not a thread on pure javascript but the javascript api for Office apps. To be used for writing Word add-ins etc. Based on my Googling it was introduced with Word 2013 but has had some serious upgrades over the past year.
I suspect there may be some interest in translating VBA to the equivalent javascript api calls for us amateur coders who are fed up of VBA running out of memory etc. I'm having a look at it at the moment as my Christmas break activity but my brain is beginning to melt and dribble out of my ears. We have a VBA for Word forum so why not a javascript for Word (etc) forums(s). |

Even for Word, there have only ever been 12 threads that mentioned javascript - and all of those only mention it in passing.

This is why I think a Word Javascript forum might be appropriate
https://dev.office.com/reference/add...rence-overview As for my problems with VBA I have a set of macros that is focussed on manipulating styles. Any guidance you can give on how to minimise memory issues would be welcome. |
