all Excel extensions have Microsoft Excel as their default program.

Hi
Try these two options: Open Excel without opening a workbook. Then open an existing workbook. Then do a SaveAs then change the file type to the current version of Excel that you are using. Close the file. Close Excel and then navigate to where you have just saved your workbook and see if you can open it from the workbook icon. OR Open Excel with a blank workbook. Then open an exisitng workbook and copy in one sheet to the blank workbook. The do a save as using the current version of Excel as the file type. Close the workbook. Then try and open in from the new workbook icon. Let me know how you get on. Good luck. Tony |
