Default Excel 2010 Printing Issues - Random Quality Changes

I just received a new computer at work with the latest versions of Windows and Office. I am currently working with three Excel documents, all created in the older version of Excel, all have multiple tabs, all have the same formatting (same font, same %, same cells with borders).

Yesterday I printed one tab from one of the documents (let’s call it “DocA”) and some of the border lines disappeared and the typeface looked heavier and a little fuzzy. I didn’t notice the change until it happened again in the second and third documents (“DocB” and “DocC”). And with DocB and DocC it was only certain tabs – not all tabs. What’s really interesting is when I went to print the imperfect tab from DocA today, it came out fine.

Also, this is not a printer issue. I’ve printed these imperfect tabs to a Sharp and an HP and the imperfections followed to either printer.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
