Ok, so we are having an issue with Excel 2003 at our work. One of our employees is having an issue where when she has a spreadsheet opened (doesn't matter which one) and she goes to open another one (again, doesn't matter which file), Excel closes with no errors. It just disppears.
I have scanned the computer with antiviruses and such and the only thing that has come back is some tracking cookies but that is about it. The weird thing is, when I open Excel in safe mode it doesn't seem to happen. What could be the issue here with Excel? And does anyone know a fix for this because this is really annoying. Thank you! |

If it is not happening on another machine then it sounds lik something to do with the configuration of the machine.
You can try repairing the installation of Office or failing that try reinstalling Office completely. Good luck. Tony |

Thank you for the response. We have tried reinstalling office, and also repairing it and nothing works.

If Excel is fine when launched in safe mode then that suggests to me that an add-in could be causing the problem and would be the first thing I would investigate.
