Office '03
Involving the same spreadsheet that I discussed in the thread Peculiar cell behavior, there appears to be something problematic with the file. The file now takes approximately 2 minutes to load--every time I try. This is a small spreadsheet. I test loaded several other sheets and they all load normally. Any suggestions on how to diagnose and repair? Mark |

Hi Mark,
When you open the workbook, press Ctrl-End and see where you end up. You may find that all the formatting mess has changed the size of the workbook. You could simply copy the 'real' used range to a new workbook, close the old one and save the new one over it, or you could delete all the unused rows and columns that are currently marked as in use.

No excess size. However, the problem seems to have resolved itself (this morning) over time--no apparent reason.
