Well I have 07 with the confounded ribbon so that's no use. I opened Excel in Connie's '03 and what you refer to is not present clicking on Format on the top horizontal Menu. That means you must be referring to some 'floating' toolbar specific to formatting? If so, how do you make the thing appear?
