Hi all again!
I need to input time in minutes and seconds, example 12 min and 33 secs. If I input in the cell 12:33, Excel takes as 12 hours and 33 minutes. I realized that if I need to input 12 min and 33 secs, I must input 0 hours too. 00:12:33 ![]() What is the reason? Thanks! |

00:12:33
00 = hours 12 = minutes 33 = seconds Excel is designed to recognize xx:xx as hours and minutes. Excel is also designed to recognize xx:xx:xx as hours/minutes/seconds. No mystery ... it simply is how Excel was designed. |
