Select your destination cell - Right click - Format Cells - Number Tab - Custom - In the "type" field enter (£#.##0,00) ( Bold is unnecessary)

The result IS A NUMBER as it is RIGHT ALIGNED in the cell. Text is always LEFT ALIGNED ( provided no manual alignment is applied)
And BTW please be careful when you give an example. In post # 20 you wrote Isn't there n extra zero ?
