Question Help required in working out the order of precedence in formulas

Hi,

I’m learning about formulas and the order of operations. I know that whatever is in parentheses takes highest precedence, and if there are more than one set of parentheses in a formula, you work from the innermost set and work out.

I’ve come across an example containing an exponent, along with other mathematical operators, and want some help in determining the order in which to calculate the formula.

The example formula is: =(4 to the power of 2+3/1*30)-10
Starting with what’s inside the parentheses:
1. 4 to the power of 2 = 16
2. 16/1 = 16 (working from left to right)
3. 16*30 = 480
4. 480+3 = 483
5. Finally outside the parentheses 483-10 = 473

Would this be the correct order? Thanks in advance.
Cheers
