This happens in spreadsheets I have opened recently and have had no problems with up until a few days ago. I have no idea what's causing the problem, or how to make it go away. I have completely shut down my computer and restarted everything (I know that's usually the first suggestion). Interestingly, spreadsheets that actually do contain formulas, have not shown this error message. The spreadsheets with the problems are all text -- weekly menus, new spreadsheet for workflow over the next few days. Stuff like that.

Help!
Thanks!!
If you go to the Formulas ribbon and look for Error Checking (about 3/4 of the way to the right on mine), click on the dropdown and select Circular References, that should point you to the circular formula on the sheet.

You might try ALT + O H U (hold down ALT and tap O, H, U in succession - shortcuts for fOrmat/sHeet/Unhide) to unhide any hidden sheets. Also check for hidden rows and/or columns where formulas could be hiding.

If it's supposed to be all text, you can try using Find for an equals sign ("="), which should take you to any formulas that might be off the visible part of the page.

And try CONTROL + A keys to select all cells, then copy and paste values, which should eliminate any formulas within cells.
