Remove trailing zeros from number format but only for a zero value

Hi folks

Is there any way of adjusting the number format below so that trailing zeros do not appear when the value is zero?

Quote:

#,##0.00_);(#,##0.00)

In other words, if I type "35" then it'll return a value of "35.00" (which I want), but if I type "0" I want the value displayed as "0" rather than "0.00".

Just realised your Office version is very old so my photo may not apply.

I also do not know how to automate the task.

Thanks. I do have that button but, yes, I want it to be automatic as I have a number of custom Styles set for whole areas of the spreadsheet and don't want to fiddle around with individual cell formatting.
