Default SUM formula using text colours

Hi All,

Is it possible to use the text colour of a cell in a range of cells to add the value or not.

I.E. if the cell text colour is RED then don't add the value, if the cell text colour is green add the value.

What i'm trying to do is have cells filled with expected revenue and when an item is sold to change the colour of the text indicating it is sold and to add it to the totals cell at the end of the row.

Any ideas or push in the right direction is always helpful.

regards
Trevor
