You hardly do any math with those numbers?! So format the column as text! And then of-course all references to this column must be to text values too, of-course!


To change column format to text:
1. Select the whole column, and format it as text. (NB! entries are aligned to left when no alignation is applied, and cells are shown as in text format, but numbers really remain numbers at this step!);
2. Into some free column with General format enter formula like ="" & A2 (Replace cell reference with proper one to column you formatted as text before). Copy the formula down so all numbers you want to convert are included;
3. Copy all formulas. Right-click on topmost cell in range with numbers you want to convert, and select PasteSpecial, and then Values option;
4. Delete formulas you added before. It's done!
