Line graphs and the vertical axis
Attached is my spreadsheet with a line graph. Go to the 2nd worksheet and you will find my question about the vertical axis. I do not know where that information came from that is on the vertical axis of the graph. I want the information that is in Col. A on the vertical axis. How do I do that. Need an answer ASAP.
Thanks for your help |

While inside the chart, click design tab, then the select data tools. change $b$1 to $a$1, OK. Add or remove legends (Num, Date, Dia, Sys). You may switch vertical and horizontal axis. |

Vertical axis for a line graph
I followed the instructions provided. When I changed the values on the vertical axis from a percentage to a number, the vertical axis showed the correct information; however the information that I was plotting disappeared. The information came back when I changed the vertical axis back to percentage.
Question: How do I get the information plotted to show when I change the vertical axis to report a number? |

Are you working on the same sample data? Add another column for the percentage format, say Rate (%). click your chart, add Rate (%) under the legend series, edit horizontal axis labels, select $D$2:$d:12. That is for the percentage, if you want the number format, edit the horizontal axis, select $c$2:$c$12. I hope this is what you need to know. |
