I have a list of items that are a specific length. I need to group the items together (need a way to mark each group) that will be equal or smaller than the target number. It would have to find the best combinations that would get each group as close as possible to the target length. Real world story: I have orders for profiles at requested lengths. I have stock of profiles at 4.3. I need a way to group the items that are the best to cut from a single profile. Need to find the groups that would create the least amount of waste. |
