![]() Students have completed a varying number of semesters. Each semester has a row. We would like to print the information for all students, BUT want all of the information for a student to be on the same page. We are looking for some kind of command like "keep these rows together" or "this is a bock of rows, keep them together when printing". |

Could you possibly upload a file showing what you have and what you want?

I have attached example data.
Each student can have a varying number of rows depending on when they started, whether they attended during the summer semester, etc. In the example data alternate students are highlighted. The ideal would be to have the first two lines as titles on every printout page. Then all of the rows for a student would appear on same printout page. It is okay if a printout page has blank lines at the end. Is there a way to keep all of the rows for a student together on the same page other than forcing pages? |

I tried playing around with it (and will continue), but so far I haven't been able to do anything (sorry). But worst case scenario, you could do a print preview and see where you want the next page to start, go back to the sheet and enter a page break. Hope that helps, until you can get a better solution.
*Edit* Also, you could give each student their own sheet or maybe make multiple columns (i.e. Mary Doe gets A-C, John Smith gets D-F, etc.). If you keep the same format (only 3 columns per student) all the columns will remain on the same page for a student. That's the only solution I've been able to come up with so far. If you don't have the Print Preview Full Screen icon on your Quick Access Toolbar I suggest that you put it there.
Now open the attached file and press the Print Preview Full Screen icon. You will see what will be printed on the first page. Press Next Page (on the Ribbon) and see what will be printed on the second page etc. Is that what you wanted? |

No he's wanting all the information to stay together. If you open up the sample he provided you will see the 5th or 6th student has something like 5 lines on the first page and one line on the second page. He wants all 6 of them to be on the same page.

Chellebell1689 is correct. When printing to paper I would like to keep all rows for a student on the same page.

I guess I must be thick-headed as I still don't understand what was wrong with #5.

He knows what will be printed where, but he wants to tell the computer what to print on each page.
In other words it is currently set up so that Jane Doe is printed on page 2 & 3, but he wants all of Jane Doe on the same page. Basically Jim Bob is before Jane Doe, there's room to print SOME (but not ALL) of Jane Doe's information on Jim Bob's page. He wants the computer to stop printing on Jim Bob's page (because not ALL of Jane Doe can fit with Jim Bob), and start printing Jane Doe on the next page. Does that clear it up? |
