He knows what will be printed where, but he wants to tell the computer what to print on each page.

In other words it is currently set up so that Jane Doe is printed on page 2 & 3, but he wants all of Jane Doe on the same page. Basically Jim Bob is before Jane Doe, there's room to print SOME (but not ALL) of Jane Doe's information on Jim Bob's page. He wants the computer to stop printing on Jim Bob's page (because not ALL of Jane Doe can fit with Jim Bob), and start printing Jane Doe on the next page.
