Copying DNA from web and need to convert column date to ex: 11-15
I copy a DNA excel file from web but when I look at the excel spreadsheet I get a date in some columns example: Nov-15 and it should be a number example: 11-15. I have tried to convert the column and the cell but nothing works.
How can I convert the date to a number 11-15; I get a 5 digit number in the enter box. This is for any place in the columns which has two numbers separated with - as separator.

Tried the different copy/pastes; Keep source formatting and Match destination formatting. They both change the 11-15 to a date.

TIA,
Jack
