Is there any clue for compatibility between 2007 and 2013?
Get an info when recovering file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="true"?> -<recoveryLog xmlns="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/spreadsheetml/2006/main"> <logFileName>error070560_02.xml</logFileName> <summary>Errors were detected in file 'XXXXXXXX.xlsm'</summary> -<removedParts summary="Following is a list of removed parts:"> <removedPart>Removed Part: /xl/comments1.xml part with XML error. (Comments) Load error. Line 2, column 174.</removedPart> <removedPart>Removed Part: /xl/comments2.xml part with XML error. (Comments) Load error. Line 2, column 174.</removedPart> <removedPart>Removed Part: /xl/comments3.xml part with XML error. (Comments) Load error. Line 2, column 174.</removedPart> </removedParts> </recoveryLog> Is there a chance that the file has been opened with 2013? Or what might be the reason and what to do? File is located in server. |

Your problem description suggests the file has some form of corruption, which is a separate issue from compatibility. AFAIK, there are no compatibility issues, per se, between Excel 2007 & 2013 - both use the same file format.
