Hi,
In a excel sheet I have list of dates, I need to change it to yyyy-mm-dd format, I have tried below options 1) Custom format yyyy-mm-dd 2) Data - text to columns - YMD format 3) Format - date format - English (United Kingdom) Example 14/11/1995 29/07/2002 01/04/1996 18/09/1997 20/01/2001 01/06/2001 19/03/2004 19/03/2004 After this one two values changed 14/11/1995 29/07/2002 1996-01-04 18/09/1997 20/01/2001 2001-01-06 19/03/2004 19/03/2004 Appreciate your help Regards, Rose |

I suspect you have text looking like dates.
Could you please post a sample of your data?

Your cells are formatted as text, not as dates; hence the content is text, not dates (dates would be right-aligned).
First, change the cell format to your required date format for all the dates. Next, input 1 into any other cell, then cut that to put it in the clipboard. Finally, select all the dates and choose Paste Special>Values>Multiply>OK.

A quick way :
Select the first column Data - text to column - Click Finish immediately ( don't change anything in the wizard) Do the same for the 2nd range Now you can custom format as desired
