Default Format Text based on use elsewhere

I am looking for help on formatting individual names in a list based upon whether the names are used elsewhere in the same document. I am using Excel as a schedule. I have the schedule set up with the job, crew, equipment, etc. for each day of the week. Under each day, I would like to have a list of all employees and format those names based upon whether the person is listed in the schedule on that day. How I would like it to work would be that if the person is listed above in the schedule that given day, strikethrough formatting is applied to that person's name in the employee list under that given day. If the person is not scheduled for a given day, I would like no strikethrough applied to the name in the list for that day. I appreciate any help that could be provided.

Using a lot of conditional formatting to highlight outliers, errors, data points. Occasionally I'm using a help column with many IF tests to set the stage. Anyway Conditional Formatting, is the next best thing to make the items of interest stand out [Background, Borders, Number formats, Font/formats]. Here's one introduction: http://www.excel-easy.com/data-analy...ormatting.html
The best bits are, you can reuse them CFs in non-adjacent cells and ranges, such definitions possible as "If Cell Value meets conditions, then Format so", to include show colored markers, arrows, flags, you name it. Trends indicators [5 maximum], progress bars are also in the feature.
Even in instances use VBA to populate dynamic ranges, sky near limitless
