Cannot delete a locked Excel document on network share.

We just want to remove the file that is locked, we have a copy so this file is just in the way. Any idea how to delete the locked file?

Locking usually indicates someone or some process has the file open. You usually cannot delete an Office file while an Office application, for example, has it open.
