Default Sum function not adding correctly

Hello I made a little spreadsheet for customers to use when billing us for materials they use on a job. On the one I attached the total is not adding correctley with the values on it. Please look at the attachement and see if you can tell what the problem is and how to correct it.

Thank you
Ronnie

Actually Excel is adding correctly.

You are adding the numbers Excel is displaying, which happen to result from two cells that Excel is rounding up for display purposes, and comparing that to what Excel is getting, by using the real numbers and happens to round down for display purposes.

If you take your column "I" and adjust the formatting to show 6 decimal places, you will see what Excel is really working with and what the real results are.

Hi
if you increase the number of decimals in I30 you will see the result as 29.28585 which added to 390.478 gives correctly 419.76385.
If you stay with two decimals, you get 419.76 as indicated

You could use the ROUND function in intermediary calculations
