In the attached sample I want to populate cell D1 with the number 1 if cell A4 is yellow.
Is this possible without VBA? thanks for looking at my problem! ![]() |

I'm afraid there is no non VBA solution for this question. You will need a UDF

you can try conditional formatting,it will get what you want
