Please don't hijack other peoples' threads, especially when your question apparently doesn't even relate to the same application. I've split your post off into a new Excel thread.
From your description, it looks like the formula you need might be: =IF(DD2="Y",19,0) or: =IF(DD2="Y",19,IF(DD2="N",0,""))
