I formatted my computer, and reinstalled Office. When I try to input a date in a new cell of a spreadsheet created before formatting in a column formatted as date, 11/04/14 changes to 04/20/02. Date is listed on excel formatting dialog box as 03/14/01. Thanks a lot.
Kindly, Luis. |

What does the date on your computer say? Sometimes the Memory battery can go dead and fail to keep the date current.

What happened is that during the format process I had to open the spreadsheet to work on it and used Libre Office (my laptop uses Mint Linux). Date in laptop is right also.
Thanks. |

I see. Have you tried to see if the date is wrong when entering in a new book? If the date is correct in a new book simply copy and paste the current sheet to a new one and then save it.

Glad to hear that worked. I read that Excel will hold the date start value in a workbook after it has been saved so that was the only explanation. Thanks for posting your results.
