I have an excel file (version 2010 32 bit) where the records are partly written in normal text (not capitalized) and partly are capitalized. I want to capitalize automatically all the text. Is there a command like in WORD?
thank you antonio ![]() |

You can use the UPPER formula to capitalize all the text in an adjacent cell then do a copy: paste text to the original columns.

I used the formula and the text in the adiacent cell was capitalized, then I copy it but can't past because the name of the author is printed, not the title, like this
from ALAN D. ALTIERIvictoria crossVICTORIA CROSS to ALAN D. ALTIERIALAN D. ALTIERIvictoria cross |

I don't see any icon for attaching the sheet, not even in the private message

Yeah, that ought to be changed. I wonder if the mods have the ability to modify that.
You have to Go Advanced. Then either click the paper clip icon in the menu or select Manage Attachments below. |

OK...so it looks like you have three columns of data: Author, Title, and then Title again. I'm not sure why Title is repeated and not sure also if you have capitalization issues with all three.
Assuming you do, in Columns D-F, enter the UPPER formulas referencing the data in A-C (as attached). Then copy the data in D-F and Paste Text Only to A-C. Once this is done, you can delete D-F. |
