It's counting the headings you have "MH Count" and "NC Count".



All that grouping looks like a lot of work. Could you get what you want in a pivot table? See attached.

I thought it might be counting the headings but thought it would also count the "SA Count" which would add 3 instead of 2 to the total.

Thanks for reminding me of the pivot table. You're right about that. I'll have to start using it more.
