I'm not sure how you have set up the online access at the moment however I am assuming you are wanting something like Office Online using OneDrive. Check out the page about Office online below.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/online/ Another option is the use of Microsoft Sharepoint services or even Google Drive which allow you to share and edit documents online.
