I have a very large amount of data in one spreadsheet, which causes putting data in to be a REAL frustrating ordeal. Brand new Dell Latitude computer with an i5 processor and barely anything saved to my hard drive. Is there any way i can possibly speed up the process?
Lot of work to be done, dont have time to wait 3 minutes every time i type a single number... ![]() |

How much is a large amount? I work with some tremendously large spreadsheets and databases on my crappy laptop and don't have any kind of slowing like that at all.

Sounds like you have a large amount of formulas in your worksheet. This can be fixed by turning the calculation to manual and then calculating the sheet before saving it. The other option is to have your formulas rewritten with a VBA script which is what I do now. I do this on spreadsheets where I have around 50,000 vlookups or countifs to complete.

I have the same problem previously & check with IT department. Finally they decide to downgrade to Excel 2010 version which solve all the slow problem.
