Count the common time period (month) between two date period of time

Can someone to help me with a formula to count the common time period (month) between two date period of time in excel.

For exemple:
1. Start date: 01-nov-2014
2 End date:31-dec-2018

1. From: 01-iul-2014
2. To: 30-iun-2015

Result in this case = 8 month
