![]() As I asked before, why go to the bother of writing and displaying the text function? Just have the equation =C5-B5 and format as "h:mm". Times and dates are nothing more than floating point numbers (e.g. July 9, 2014 8:32am = 41829.35581). Why not just use those numbers instead of adding all that unnecessary complexity? I have attached a sheet with the first week. Without any familiarity with your time keeping system, I don't understand exactly what the purpose is for some of the columns. And what I said about unnecessary complexity become clear with your equations for columns K-M. K seems to be a running total of hours worked but for some reason, K7 has an added term. |

The company I work for uses time cards to punch in and out with, and the format is what I have in my spreadsheet. Yes I know it's a lot of work for something so trivial but I have not worked in excel since 2003 and a lot has change (Oh my goodness have they ever) and I would like to get back into it again. Again, it's been awhile and the more I play around with different ways of doing it, I know it will be come easier and more efficient.
gebobs thank you for your time. I am having a problem opening your file. it shows as attachment.php |
