Default Display Numbers in CSV file over 15 digits

Hi,

I download a data file from a system in CSV format, one of the column contains serial numbers which are more than 15 digits. it looks like this:
8.91E+18

I will need the 18 digits as reference number to do vlookup in other reports. However, no matter how I manipulate the data, the last a few digits only show as zero ever though I know they should not be, looks like this:
8912220000248760000

I know that Excel only can only take 15 digits of numbers in a cell, but is there a way to make it become text and to show all 18 digits properly? In another word, how can I find out whether the last a few digits were indeed missing in the downloaded CSV file?

Thanks!

Open the file while in Excel (i.e. File:Open).
On the bottom right of the Open File dialog box.
Select your file and click Open.
Click Next twice to get to Data Format selection dialog.
Select Text for Column Data Format.
Click Finished.

I tried it with just one number and it worked. Your results may vary.
