Good afternoon internet,
I'm working with a large spreadsheet which tracks personnel qualification data. I have created a matrix where quals are in the top row, and names down the first column (see example). Each cell in the matrix is populated with a checkbox which are activated upon personnel achieving the various quals. The amount of data has gotten quite vast, and in the interest of avoiding mistakes while updating the sheet, I’m trying to figure out if it’s possible to have either comment boxes, or some other form of text box, appear when simply holding the mouse over a cell. The contents of the popup would need to reference to values in a defined row and column, in this case Name and Qual#. I’ve searched through forums, and have come up pretty empty. If it’s not possible not to worry, but if it is I’d love to know how. Cheers |

Here's an example someone made that does rollover displays for a Periodic Table of Elements. It's pretty slick. Maybe you can adapt this code for your sheet.
