what formula would I use so that we can keep track of how many hours certain person works each week - they work didn't shifts each day

whats that layout of the spreadheeet
do you have a start time and finish time did you need to remove any breaks - if so how long you can format the cell in [h]:mm and then finish time - start time http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/ex...003056108.aspx |

just using excel just need the formula to put in a number (worked 6 hrs ) but so the name of the person doing that shift stays in the cell (sorry not sure how to explain correctly or in gerk language what I need)

sorry, not sure of your layout now
there a few ways to sum values you could use sumif() sumifs() can you load an example spreadsheet and give also examples of the results you expect and the data entered |
