I am running Office Pro 13 on Windows 7 OS and I have an excel file that is showing the insert option for sparklines grayed out. I have tried the following steps below and found no success. I'm going to assume the file may be corrupt and that I will not be able to make the sparklines appear agin. any guidance would be appreciated.

Verified under advances options "show all" is set,
Compatibility mode shows errors but not specific to sparklines
Office updates are current
Issue is not specific to one computer, appears on any PC
No private or permission settings are configured.
Copy and paste to a new workbook does not resolve the issue either

Do you know if the workbook that you are working with is from an earlier version of Excel where the Sparklines are not compatible. This issue would still be present even after copying and pasting to a new worksheet. Just a thought.
