How to create a resizeable simple checkbox Excel 2007

Windows 7 64 bit / Microsoft Office 2007

I have a very simple list of tasks in Excel, and want to create two very simple check boxes to the right of each item on the list.

Would like to be able to resize the box, and check mark, and would like each box and check mark to be a different color.

So far using Developer>Insert>the little checkbox icon, I haven't been able to get there - Help Appreciated, Bob
