I have a chart with the legend at the bottom. I need to add a text box below the legend, but there isn't enough room between the legend and border. Is there a way to create more room? When I drag the border to stretch the size of the chart, the chart expands and the legend goes with it and still no extra room. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

Try making the plot area smaller by dragging the border of the plot area in a bit .
You might want to make the chart area bigger first so that you still end up with a decent sized plot area |
