I found in several places on the web, the solution to my inability to drag & drop cells in Excel 2010. The steps to take seemed easy enough to follow:
_Go to Excel Options _Click Advanced _Check the box to the left of "Enable fill handle and cell drag and drop" and below it, check the box to the left of "Alert before Overwriting Cells." _Click OK _Close and Restart Excel I then attempt to move a cell that I've clicked onto by moving my cursor to the corner of the cell until it changes to a small thin cross. I've gone through these steps several times, but to no avail. The cell doesn't move to where I attempt to drag and drop it to. It simply duplicates itself in the cell immediately below where the original cell is. What can I do to drag and drop a cell to another spot on the worksheet?
