The file you attached is in a Open XML format, first introduced in office 2007.
I noticed you work with excel 2000. The easiest way is to use excel 2007 or a higher version; in the Data tab, Data tools menu, there is the option: Remove duplicates. I suggest you use only one column, with unique ID or SSN serial numbers, to accomplish this task. In the images attached, you can see screenshots of this operation...
