I have tried to import 2 different formats of Excel into Outlook without success. I used an Excel spreadsheet and comma delimited values worksheet.
As you know, I have the option to import a .csv file by way of DOS and Windows and the .xls file which is listed as 1997-2003. I am working with Office 2010 and was wondering if the older format is compatible with 2010? In addition, when I try to import the Excel spreadsheet, I get a dialog box telling me that an error has occurred in the MS Excel 1997-2003 translator while getting the contents of a file system. It also mentions it was unable to retrieve the data from the file and asks me to verify the file, to make sure I have permission to open it and to make sure it's not open in another program. When I try to import the comma delimited values worksheet into Outlook, I get to where it looks as though I'm doing everything properly and all I have to do is map the fields, but that tab isn't highlighted to get it done and the Next tab isn't highlighted either. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() |
